Holiday at a Beach in Dagupan City Turns Tragic

A holiday at the beach here turned sad when an excursionist drowned on May 29, according to the police.

The victim was identified as Nicholas Dalapus, 52, of Barangay Sto. Tomas, this city, who drowned Sunday while swimming at the Blue Beach, Tondaligan Park here with his family.

The report showed Dalapus dived in the water and did not surface again. It took rescuers, composed of policemen and fishermen, more than 20 minutes to find his body.

He was nevertheless rushed to the Decena Hospital in Barangay Bonuan Gueset here where he was declared dead on arrival. (PNA)
