Heads of RLAs, Antique local officials to discuss programs, projects

SAN JOSE De BUENAVISTA, Antique, March 2 (PNA) -- Heads of regional line agencies (RLAs) in Western Visayas and local chief executives (LCEs) of Antique will meet Friday to discuss ongoing national programs and projects in the province.

Antique Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao on Thursday said that the one-day gathering will have Senator Loren Legarda, whose roots came from this province, as keynote speaker. Also expected to grace the event is Social Welfare and Development Secretary Judy Taguiwalo.

The dialogue will serve as venue for LCEs to raise their issues and concerns before the concerned regional directors.

Activities in line with this province’s hosting of the 2017 Palarong Pambansa will also be presented during the meeting.

Cadiao said in a previous interview that the province is 80 percent ready for the Palaro hosting slated April 23-29. Preparations such as repair of the 22 billeting schools and playing venues like the Binirayan track oval are ongoing. (PNA)
