Haresco hopes Pres. Aquino III will reveal his presidential candidate in SONA
KALIBO, Aklan, July 2 (PNA) -- Aklan Congressman Teodorico Haresco hopes President Benigno Simeon Aquino III will officially reveal his preference as 2015 presidential candidate in his forthcoming State of the Nations Address (SONA).
Haresco said he believes that PNOY's revelation of his choice as next president is just one of those things that the nation wants to hear.
"We do expect that PNOY would again enumerate his feat as president in his last year or during his entire term. That's already a fact. But aside from the achievements, the people want to know who he will officially be endorsing to follow his track," said Haresco in an interview.
Sources at the Liberal Party indicate that the current favorite as the next president is Mar Roxas, the current secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government.
"It is but just unfortunate that the surveys on possible presidential winners are being done in large cities. But if there are just surveys in the provinces especially in Panay Island, Mar Roxas would surely emerge as number one," said the source who requested anonymity.
Currently, Roxas is at the third spot in different national surveys.(PNA)
