2 dead in Maguindanao town gun attack
MATANOG, Maguindanao, Philippines (March 11, 2022, The Philippine Star) — Two persons were killed and three others were wounded, two of them children, in a gun attack in this town on Wednesday.
Capt. Fhaeyd Cana, Maguindanao police spokesman, identified the fatality as Bro Lumbos, 43, and his three-year-old nephew. Akmad Makaurao, 38, and two other children were wounded and taken to a hospital for treatment.
A group of men reportedly shot the victims in an open area in Barangay Langkong.
Col. Jibin Bongcayao, Maguindanao police director, said probers have yet to determine the motive for the shooting. (JOHN UNSON)
