ILOILO CITY -- A private group of bikers in this city will hold a “Fun Ride for a Cause: Sikad (Cycle) for a Peaceful, Honest and Clean May Elections” on Sunday to entice the public to vote in the May 13 mid-term polls.

The Barbarian Bikers in Action will hold a “Sikad” to show their support to the Philippine National Police (PNP), Commission on Elections (Comelec), and Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) for the conduct of clean and honest elections, said Febe Morales, group’s founder.

The bikers’ group will start at Cabugao Sur village, Santa Barbara, and will pass through the villages in Cabatuan town, and will also cover New Lucena town.

“A week after the elections, we are going to encourage our fellow Ilonggos to go out and vote on May 13,” Morales said.

Around 300 bikers coming from this city, and Iloilo and Guimaras provinces are expected to participate.

Morales said members of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 6, Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), and the Philippine Army’s 3rd Infantry Division (3ID) have expressed their willingness to join the event.

Flyers as information-dissemination materials for the elections will be distributed along the way, he said.

Morales said he expects that this activity will have a positive result, especially in the town of New Lucena, which was placed under Category Yellow or election area of concern.

“We hope that voters in this province will know that their vote is sacred. We hope that they will vote freely and based on what their hearts and minds dictate,” he said. (PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
