Ten high school teachers in Pampanga were allegedly duped by a man who posed as an employee of ABS-CBN and sold them tickets to watch and participate in the noontime game show “Wowoweeâ€.
The victims were identified as Solina Dizon, Marina Nucup, Marilou Timoteo, Lucila Pineda, Irma Reyes, Edwin Lapid, Remedios Borja, Aileen Guinto, Juneth Salas and Amante Del Val, all teachers of Pampanga High School in San Fernando City.
The victims sought help from authorities who immediately launched a manhunt for the suspect identified as Larry Sibug, alias “Boy†of Purok 4, Barangay Quebiawan.
"The money can't be returned to the victims, the suspect will be charged with robbery," said Police Officer 3 Armando Arceo.
Sibug, 20, did not resist arrest and named a certain Frederick Viñas, reportedly a staff of “Wowoweeâ€, as the person behind the operation. - abs-cbn
