SITUATIONAL REPORT on national roads and bridges in EV due to Typhoon BISING as of April 18, 2021, Sunday, 6:00 PM.
Camp.5 Bndry-Jct. Taft in Brgy. Binaloan, Taft, Eastern Samar remains to be temporarily closed to traffic due to possible occurence of landslide. Eastern Samar DEO also reported that the depth of floodwaters along Jct.Taft-Oras-San Policarpo-Arteche Road in Brgy. Bigo, Arteche, ES has increased to 1.5meters on Sunday afternoon. Said road section is also not passable to all types of vehicles.
Meanwhile, Biliran DEO reported that Catmon Bridge detour has been submerged to floodwater, making it only passable to 4-wheel type vehicles.
All other major roads and bridges across the region are passable to traffic. DPWH 8 Maintenance crew and field men continue to conduct clearing operations.
According to PAGASA, at 4:00 PM today, the eye of Typhoon "BISING" was located at 290 km East of Virac, Catanduanes (13.5 °N, 126.9 °E ) as it slightly weakens and decelerates while moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h.# (via DPWH-8)
