A 2.9 magnitude tectonic earthquake rocked Abra province at 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) field station here said.
Another 3.2 magnitude quake shook Iloilo province at 8:25 a,m., also on Saturday.
Phivolcs Researcher Porferio De Peralta said that the mild quake in Abra had its epicenter located at 14 kilometers northeast of Bangued with a depth of 19 kilometers while the tremor felt in Iloilo had its epicenter traced at 36 kilometers southwest of Iloilo City with a depth of 45 kilometers.
De Peralta said that no damage or casualty were reported, and there were no aftershocks recorded in the two mild quakes. (PNA)
