Aurora cops' 'Padyak Kontra Illegal na Droga' to be launched on Saturday
BALER, Aurora, Jan. 27 (PNA) -- To intensify the campaign against illegal drugs, hundreds of bikers will join the “Padyak Kontra Illegal na Droga†bike for a cause of the Aurora Provincial Police Office (APPO) which will be held on Saturday morning.
Police Supt. Reynante Pitpitan, chief of Aurora Police Community Relations Branch (PCRB), said that they are expecting over 200 individuals from the 56th Infantry “Tatag†Battalion, Philippine Army, Philippine National Police (PNP), government offices, Aurora bikers and other stakeholders to join in the event.
The participants will bike 42 kilometers here in Central Aurora where the race will start 5 a.m. at the APPO, Camp Ravina, Barangay Sabang here going to the towns of San Luis, Maria Aurora, Dipaculao and will be back in this capital town of Aurora to APPO.
The activity that will be held through the efforts of Aurora Provincial Director Police Senior Supt. Randolph Y. Balonglong aims to seek public support and cooperation to maintain the province as drug-free.
Pitpitan said he is inviting everyone to join in the activity. He said the proceeds of the bike for a cause will be used for the drug campaign awareness, “Sumbong Bilis†project and additional support to the Bahay Pagbabago reformation center of APPO.
“We will give also incentives to the members of “Sumbong Bilis†who will give positive and timely information against illegal drugs,†Pitpitan added.
