A member of the Philippine National Police (PNP) was among those arrested in a drug raid conducted by operatives of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Group (CAIDSOG) recently in Barangay 2, Bacolod City.
Arrested together with Police Officer 1 Mark Anthony Pestolante were Virgilio Talones, Lester Latoza, Vicente Ponce, Rommel Irmeo and Roderick Gellego.
The group was having a pot session at the residence of Edward Canlas in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 when CAIDSOG operatives led by Sr. Insp. Jomarie Occeno pounced on them.
The raiding team has recovered voluminous drug paraphernalia use in sniffing shabu.
The arrested suspects will be subjected to drug test to determine if they were indeed positive of using the highly prohibited substance.
Pestolante is a native of Cadiz City and presently assigned at the Don Salvador Benedicto Police Station in Negros Occidental.
