DPWH inspects construction of senior high school buildings in Antique
SAN JOSE De BUENAVISTA, Antique, Jan. 11 (PNA) –- Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Director Wenceslao Leano, Jr. arrived in this province Wednesday to inspect the status of the senior high school (SHS) building constructions in the province.
Leano, who paid a courtesy call on Antique Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao, said that the inspection is in relation to the ongoing preparations for this province’s hosting of the Palarong Pambansa.
He said that he wanted school buildings that will be used as billeting areas of athletes finished before the scheduled national sports event.
“I want to see the senior high schools to be used as billeting areas prioritized,†the DPWH official said.
He said more than 50 school buildings are being constructed in the province with an estimated amount of PHP20-40 million each.
The DPWH official so met with Antique Vice Governor Edgar Denosta and chiefs of offices at the capitol. (PNA)
