ILOILO CITY, Feb. 7 (PNA) -– The city government here is reminding drivers and traffic implementers that the elderly, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are allowed to take vehicles and disembark in any portion of city streets.
Jeffrey Celiz, political liaison officer and spokesperson of Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, said the local chief executive has already instructed Engr. Joe Tengco, the action officer of the Transportation Management and Traffic Regulation Office (TMTRO) to remind every traffic enforcer that the city gives due consideration to the said sectors under the loading/unloading ordinance.
Celiz said Mabilog has ordered that a copy of the ordinance that provides the loading/unloading exemption be distributed to the offices at the city hall for information dissemination.
