Another fire hit this city where a nine-month-old baby was burned to death while his older sister was injured late Wednesday afternoon.
Fire investigators revealed that CJ Jumuad, 9 months, was left behind by his relatives inside the residence as the fire suddenly broke out and gutted the entire house in just a few minutes.
CJ’s sister, Angelie, two years old, was rushed to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) but was already declared out of danger.
The children’s mother was not around when the fire broke out around 5:00 in the afternoon and razed their house in Purok 8, Upper Catitipan, Buhangin.
Neighbors of the victims said they failed to rescue the nine-month-old infant since the fire was already spread out.
