Gunmen robbed on Wednesday the Cebu Pacific ticketing office and carted away some P50,000 cash and other valuables.
The robbery hold-up occurred at 4 p.m. some 50 meters away from a police station and densely populated commercial district of the city.
Police said three men posed as clients of the ticketing office, one of whom went inside while two others disarmed the security guard of his cal. 38 revolver.
Security guard Joel Visquizo said he was not expecting the trio were robbers since they appeared to be formal and wearing neat clothes.
Sr. Supt. Willie Dangane, city police director, said the suspects were armed with cal. 45 pistol.
Once inside, the suspect declared hold-up and carted away the ticketing office cash collections, mobile phones and other personal belongings of the office workers.
The robbery was over in two minutes, police said.
Responding policemen launched pursuit operations but the suspects made good their escape. (PNA)
