Going Further with the Cardaba Community Farm in Sitio Nasilaban

Initiated by first batch of R-PSB in Sitio Nasilaban, Brgy. Palma Gil, Talaingod, Davao del Norte, the three (3) hectare Cardaba Community Farm for Farmer’s Association of the sitio is in its fourth month since Bayanihan planting of cardaba commenced. Considering the cardaba farm is still in its infancy, the cardaba needs to be put with fertilizer and regularly round weeded.
To support the growth of cardaba until its harvest, DNPPO headed by PCOL RANIE P HACHUELA, Provincial Director gave three (3) sacks of urea at about 2:30 PM pf October 9, 2020. These fertilizer will promote green leafy growth and aids in photosynthesis process of the cardaba. It will sustain until the carbada bloom its first flower and produce fruit.
Four months from now, members of Ata Manobo Farmers Association of Sitio Nasilaban will harvest from their hard work in maintaining their three hectare Cardaba Community Farm. An oppurtunity for Ata-Manobo Tribe to attain a sustainable community.
