Caloocan City government is among the four city-recipients in Metro Manila this year of the “Seal of Good Housekeeping†from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Caloocan Mayor Recom Echiverri expressed elation with this feat as this entitles the city government to a financial aid from the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) of DILG. The aid will fund projects related to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010.
With this fund, Caloocan is eyeing the procurement of new medical equipment for the President Diosdado Macapagal Memorial Medical Center (PDMMMC), construction of two-story lying-in center, clearing of tributaries in Barangay 167 and the augmentation of emergency response equipment.
