The head of the local field inspection team of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Flying Squad in Cagayan Valley was shot and killed by an unidentified gunman late Monday afternoon near the national highway in Barangay Sinsayon here, police said on Tuesday.
Police identified the fatality as Sadiri Domingo, 54, a resident of Burgos in Ramon, Isabela.
Domingo was reportedly standing at the road shoulder with his wife Siony Lyn Domingo when a jacket-wearing gunman shot Domingo with a .45-caliber revolver twice on the head and once on the neck.
After the shooting, the gunman casually walked and rode in a Honda TMX motorcycle without plate number driven by a companion and fled to Cordon, Isabela.
Police found two empty shells of Cal. 45 handgun at the crime scene.
The LTO worker was declared dead on arrival at the Callang General Hospital.(PNA)
