News / Members of the Philippine Coast Guard on Friday rescued 15 passengers from a capsized motorbanca in Barangay Poblacion, Rapu-Rapu, Albay.

“The boat captain, Mr. Rogelio Barcelona Jr., shared that while traversing from Barangay Batan to Poblacion at around 06:30 a.m., they experienced engine trouble and encountered big waves, causing their motorbanca to submerge,” PCG said in a Facebook post.

All passengers were safe and were transported back to Barangay Batan.
