Twenty-nine pieces of homemade dynamite were recovered by police operatives in their operations near the shorelines in Barangay Baccuit Sur, Bauang, La Union Tuesday.
Chief Inspector Artemio Infante, chief of police of Bauang, theorized that the seized dynamites will be used by still unidentified fishermen for illegal fishing.
However, no person was arrested by the police in the operations.
Infante said the home-made dynamites were in a sack placed near the shoreline and ready to be picked up by unidentified suspects.
Infante said that the manufacturers of the home-made dynamites are within the barangay.
