This mountain resort over the past five years have modernized most of its equipment and facilities in keeping with the needs as destination of international tourism.
This was learned from Romeo Concio, chief of the General Services Office (GSO) who said the latest to be acquired was a seven million peso fire truck with the latest technology and equipment in firefighting.
To date, more than a dozen firetrucks and related vehicles are strategically deployed all over the city as a measure of preparedness in fire incidents.
Two months ago, four additional modern garbage trucks were added to the fleet of 15 vehicles which have to collect and dispose off more than 200 tons of garbage generated daily.
Prior to that, police cars,motorcycles and mountain bicycles were given by the city to the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) for its day to day operations.
