Aboitiz power firm in Cotabato decentralizes electric bill payment

COTABATO CITY, Dec. 16 (PNA) -- The Aboitiz-owned Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) has continued to improve its services to clients as it recently decentralized the payment of power bills, officials said Friday.

"In line with our thrust of providing customer convenience, Cotabato Light has partnered with another third party for easy transactions for our clients," Anna Lea Lee Nataño, Cotabato Light's branding and corporate communication chief, said in a statement.

She said the firm has partnered with SaveMore, a grocery center inside the City Mall of Cotabato, where the power firm's clients could pay electric bills.

The move was seen as Cotabato Light's efforts to bring electric bill payments closer to consumers, saving them cost and time, considering the traffic problem hounding commuters in the city.

Other Cotabato Light collecting partners are EC Pay, CIS Bayad Center, Cebuana Lhuillier, M. Lhuillier and USCC Western Union.

"Since this is available to all branches in the Philippines, a power consumer can pay the electric bill anytime," Arlene Hepiga, Cotabato Light branding and corporation communication staff member, said, adding that the same policies apply, such as surcharges for late payment.

"Pay your bills while you shop at SaveMore," a billboard greets power consumers queueing at the power firm's main office billing section.

Hepiga said all power consumers need to do as they settle their power bills at malls is to present the electric bill, the statement of account, or the old official receipt that indicates the client's account identification. Partial or full payment is accepted, cash or check is accepted and transaction receipt will be issued by partners upon payment.

"No additional charges will be collected," Nataño said. "Now, it’s more convenient, fast and reliable to pay your Cotabato Light Electric Bill from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m." (PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
