A six-year-old girl was found dead in Davao City with both feet tied together on Wednesday night.
The victim, Nicole Ann Linucalma, was a Kinder 1 pupil of the Project Hope Day Care and Learning Center at GSIS Heights in Matina Crossing, Davao City.
Based on investigations by Talomo police, the victim was naked from the waist down and her feet tied by a nylon cord when she was found at a vacant lot on Milky Way Street at GSIS Heights, around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Felixberto Aguilar, a resident in the area, told police that the victim was with two young boys when he last saw her.
Police arrested one alias Kokey (name withheld for being a minor), 13, in relation to the crime.
As of posting on Friday, police are still conducting further investigation to locate the suspect's other companion.
Police recovered a piece of wood with a protruding nail allegedly used as a murder weapon.
Authorities believe the victim was raped before she was killed.
The victim's body was brought to Angel Funeral Homes while police are set to endorse the arrested suspect to the Department of Social Welfare and Development. (AD)
