3 evacuation centers in Isabela near completion
CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela, Dec 16 (PNA) -- The Provincial Engineering Office of Isabela reported at least three more typhoon-proof evacuation centers funded by the provincial government are now near completion.
The three evacuation centers are part of the five evacuation centers that the provincial government of Isabela have allotted funds for the construction.
Engineer Gregorio Aguilar of the Provincial Engineering Office said that the evacuation center in Maconancon is on-going its construction with at least 58.8% completed; Divilacan has at least 52.9% completed and Palanan is 48.09% completed.
Aguilar said the Dinapigue evacuation center is 100% completed and already has generator set delivered while the Isabela Multi-Purpose Evacuation Center also is 100% completed and ready to use by evacuees.
Meanwhile, Aguilar said the Bureau of Fire (BFP) and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) is at 19.53% completed.
The BFP – PDRRMO building is also funded by the provincial government to accommodate the fire personnel of BFP – Isabela and PDRRMO personnel respectively.
The building will also serve as the operations center before, during and after disasters. (PNA)
