Press Release
Boholanos who have visited government offices in the past six months rated five top offices where they are most satisfied with in terms of services; and coming next to the top, is the Treasurer’s office of Loay, Bohol.
Of the 30 percent total respondents on the particular question in the Bohol Poll 2009 conducted by the Holy Name University Research Center, 28 percent said they were satisfied in the services of the Loay Treasurers office which is headed by Ma. Feliza Flores Dumayac.
Loay got a satisfaction rating of 3.7%, just three-point away shy from the top performer, the Governor’s Office – Capitol at 4%. Treasurer Dumayac said she was glad to hear the survey result but humbly refused to comment further.
Mayor Rosemarie “May†Lim-Imboy, when informed on the good rating of his municipal treasury services, said this could be the result of cooperation and her reformed policies introduced when she assumed office.
The lady mayor issued an order to all revenue collectors that they should observe utmost courtesy and must punctually remit their collections before 3 o’clock in the afternoon for them to avoid unremitted accountabilities that will affect the services of the local treasury.
The sound financial management experienced by the Loay local government today is also attributed to the wide experience of Mayor May Imboy being a business manager of her family’s enterprises before she become a public official.
Government employees also agreed to the HNU Survey result saying the high rating speaks of the determination of Mayor May Imboy’s governance to truly serve the public.
The HNU Research Center-Bohol Poll 2009 survey adopted the system used by the Social Weather Station (SWS), a respected survey group in the country with a minimal margin of error in accuracy.
