Proportion of women and men in, or looking for, work:  53% Women; 81% Men


Did you know that out of 145 countries, the only four where more women than men are in work are in Africa? These are Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda and Burundi.

There are more female than male senior officials, managers and legislators.

Women: 57%          Men: 43%


Only in Colombia, Fiji and the Philippines do more women than men occupy these roles.
