Preamble of the Philippine Constitution
We, the sovereign Filipino people, imploring the aid of Divine Providence, in order to establish a government that shall embody our ideals, promote the general welfare, conserve and develop the patrimony of our Nation, and secure to ourselves and our posterity the blessings of democracy under a regime of justice, peace, liberty, and equality, do ordain and promulgate this Constitution.
The preamble to the Philippine Constitution is similar to the Preamble of the Constitution of these United States of America:
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.Main theme:
When the sovereign government oversteps its bounds and threatens the intrinsic unalienable natural rights of the citizenry, oversteps and inhibits the rights of citizens as guaranteed by the Bill of Rights and the Ammendments of the Constitution, then said government has lost its legitimacy.
That right, the people, have the right to remove the regime in power. And in due accord, establish a government in power so as to guarantee the unalienable rights of the people, as declared and dictated by constitutional precedent.
In the Spirit of The American Revolution.
That so long as there is an American that lives and breathes, no power shall overstep our rights. And the yolk of tyranny shall never impose itself in these United States of America. Such in the case of the British Empire, 2 some centuries past.
