...i started using avonex since 2001 Jan. to be exact. first it was rebif in 2000 pero lisod man dad-on uli sa pinas kay taman ra man sa 3-8% C lisod maski dunay coolbox, mao nga akong gipa-alisdan. Thanks God...i have better days pa though i have 2 relapses/year
Thanks for sharing with us you condition, Tita. I do hope that your MS is under control. I notice that you are currently taking Avonex. Here in the 'states, there is another interferon drug that is proven to be more effective than avonex. It is called Interferon beta-1a, also known as "REBIF". It is proven to be more effective towards relapsing MS. As you know it is self injected.
If you have not talked to your M.D about this, perhaps you can ask your neurologist about possibility of switching over to REBIF.
Tell him your friend, another M.D, suggested it might be better. Tell him that your fried, an M.D from Chicago, suggested it because REBIF is proven against relapsing MS. The FDA has noticed through quantitative analysis that REBIF is far more effective in controlling MS than Avonex.
