Another group of visitors expressed appreciation to the municipality's Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) program with components facilities made from low-cost materials.
Brainchild of Mayor Exuperio Lloren, the ISWM program is included in the 10-year municipal development plan (MDP) and has been benefiting the townspeople since its implementation few years ago.
Local officials and employees of the municipality of Baclayon led by Mayor Alvin Uy and Vice Mayor Marilyn Uy were here on February 7 for an educational tour and had a chance to observe the implementation of the project which was the point of interest.
With them were all the SB members of Baclayon, heads of some local and national offices, and a representative of a non-government organizations (NGO).
Jagna SB Member Senen Lloren, chairman of the ISWM Technical Working Group (TWG) conducted a short symposium at the municipal hall to give the visitors an advance view of the project.
