Belle, if you don't mind me suggesting a therapist, it might help. There are drugs now that will help the chemical imbalance of the brain.

my special and bad? I can't really tell, I usually let my friends tell me who I am. I'm too mysterious in a lot of ways in a lot of times.
I'm so unpredictable that's the only thing I can say.

Beth, i kept holding myself from going to the doctors kay dili gyud ko gusto ug mahimo samuton naho ug imbalance ahong bain tungod sa mga medications, yes im taking the herbal med like St. Johns Worth if i have an attack...I am struggling about this since the 9/11. Or maybe before wa lang naho mabantayi... I sometimes called this Winter Blues kay mostly sa winter man mo tokar. Naa gyud kuy amiga nga dili sha kasabot nako, nag buwag gyud mi sa maajong pagpanamilit kay di sha kasabot sa akong illness... dayun masuko sha ug di ko katawag nija sa phone, and i always think that i dont owe her an explaination so i just quit talking to her...better that way. nawala sha but i have TB peeps that can understand me more than she does.

Ok Belle, just an idea lang to sya ha. But I think you mean Psychiatrist who prescribe drugs. What I meant is counceling, select a licensed well train professional therapist.
Well my fren, whatever works for you take it.
Some people just don't understand depression. Depression could even be biological.
In ladies' case, it might be hormonal changes or age. Basta dili paman pod ko maka relate sa age kay I'm still in my 30's pero I just hope when I get there, I can cope up the way I coped in my depressing growing up life.

I understand what you are going through. Specially during this time of the year, people usually get S.A.D (seasonal affected depression) specially during the winter season. I know that I sometimes experience it as well as my friends with the seasonal changes; that and the fact that we are just so far away from our family. Pero you know, I think it is good that you are herbal-oriented. Kai it is not always the best course of action to take prescription medication; sure there are anti-depressant pills that can try to alleviate chemical imbalances, but such anti-depressants can also cause imbalances within the limbic as well as other chemical homoeostasity in the brain. Mao na there are no 'quick fixes' when dealing with depression. And I totally believe that it is a legitimate condition. 'te Belle it is good that you just talk to other people, share your feelings, natural ra man jud na. Diba? It comes and goes ra man pood na 'te, and if you ever ever need to talk to someone, I am always a phone call away, ha? It is one of the crosses that we all bear, 'te Belle. Such is this thing we call 'life'. Just wanted to tell you that, naa ra jud ko diri. You are a beautiful person inside, very comforting and supportive whenever people need support, and God Bless you for all your troubles, 'te. We Love you for the way you are! I love you Ante Belle.

When I quit my ex-job (hehe), my boss did all he could to convince me to stay. He said I was 'always a happy person, he never saw me frown, i was always smiling, and i was a positive presence kuno'...

He didn't know that half the time, I wanted to strangle him. So there's my secret, I always smile with my lips, but not always with my heart.

I am sensitive, hilakon, looran --- mao ni ang other side ni St. Agnes...

people see me as a "happy" person & full of life....
pero, plastik man ko, when it comes nga mag deal nah ug tawo / problems...
typical "politician" person bah.... like.. smile dinhi --- smile didto ---

When I get hurt, murag dili man cguro ma recognize sa mga tawo,
kay mag pa "as if" raman ko nothing happens...
pero, kon ako nalang ang naa, or akong bf --- ana nah na sya mo dagayday akong luha... hehe
Or, bisan phone calls, text messages --- ana sad ko makahilak kon unsa gani...
basta --- in short sensitive ko... dali ra ko pahilakon --- lupig pas Judy Ann Santos -- hihihihihi

Els, it's normal for us to get depressed during autumn/winter time. Nag dako man gud ta ug naanad nga naay sun permi. It's so hard gyud kung permi lang mag ligdom ang kalibutan. You'll get depressed for no reason at all.

Its more pronounced in western countries with varying temperatures in accordance to seasonal changes (specifically during fall-to-winter, winter-to-spring etc), its a medical phenomenon known as S.A.D; Seasonal Affected Depression.

Belle your not alone.I also suffer depression for long time unya wala ni nako dayon na diskubre.Ma worst ako depression esp. winter mao ni ila giingon S.A.D Pero akong depression gyud is postpartrum depression or baby blues kay right after ko nanganak sa ako first born medyo paranoid ko kay daghan jud ko gihunahuna sa ako utok.Samad samaran gud nako ug blade ako bukton naa term ani.Yes I am even suicidal nga matingala lang ko nganong makahunahuna ko adto.Wala pa gyud ko nagsaba kay basin di ko ma understand sa uban.Yes happy ko kaayo tan awon outside but I suffer deeply inside.Prayer raman jud to naka ease sa akong depression but kabalo ka abi nako mawala ni pero I was wrong paghuman nasad panganak nako sa ako second child the same lang gihapon apil na ang third child.Na notice na gyud sa ako bana nga I always like to isolate myself magsira ko sa kwarto permi ako ra usa.Unya kung nakakita mo sa movie the aviator nga si howard hughes permi manghugas sa iya kamot until it bleed thats OCD obsessive compulsive disorder ingon ana sad ko.I wash my hands till it gets raw.Feeling nako naay germ bisan asa. My husband insist nga mo seek ug medical professional.Nagpapsychologist jud ko ug nakatabang gyud siya sa ako depression.He recommend anti depressant drugs pero ako ang ingbalibad kay mao na mahadlok ko, ako gi reason niya nga daghan man nuon namatay ana kay nag suicide.My psychologist explain to me nga ang tawo daw nga depressed kaayo naa jud daw ang suicidal thoughts then wala lang daw energy mobuhat karon once ning depressed nga tawo daw makainom na ug anti depressant then sa iya mind mag suicide siya mao daw na mahitabo suicidal thought plus more energy na mao na patay ang labas.
Wala koy gitumar nga anti depressant kay nadala raman to ug counceling unya ang psychologist dili man na sila maka sulat ug prescription diay for anti depressant ang psychariatrist ra.
We always need support group kay makatabang na ma lessen atong depression.Kabalo ba mo ang ginamos makatambal na siya sa depression.Very effective gyud ni siya mga medication sa depression.I notice jud nga wala ko ma depress this winter kay segi ko kaon ug ginamos hahahah.
