We went for a ride... gazing at the beautiful fall colors and went to the lake way way far from our town... and had dinner...

i was craving for a prime rib and ended up having a very salty one... :'(

very disappointing but the rest of the meat taste good... the mash potato was superb...

this i took on our way to Cadillac where we had our dinner...

beautiful view, 'te. The fall leaves are really prominent where you're at.

Hello! My day is just about to start in about 5 hours. It's 1:40 am here local time.
I'm excited what this day will bring!

I used to hang a note on my wall which says something that today I will achieve the things I'm set to do. It sets a positive attitude from the moment I opened my eyes and read the note.

I can't exactly remember how that note no longer hang on my wall...

Nonetheless, I'm one who just loves to maintain a positive outlook.

Haahaha dili diay? ate easy ra na!

Just go to any oriental store, get sweet rice. Cook it in any regular rice cooker. And at the same time, go and purchase general brown sugar. Take any pot and put at least 3-4 lbs of brown sugar and boil it in the pot, add some water to dilute it and to aid in the de-solidification process. Keep the temp around 250 degs or 300 degs and allow the sugar to carmelize (remember to add maybe 1.5 cups of water). When the sugar is liquidated, go and take your cooked sweet rice and place it in the pot of liquidated brown sugar. Mix it. Continue to do so until finished. Then allow it to cool down (believe me dont try to eat really hot bicco, kai it will burn your tongue...i know from experience, LOL)

Ate, also make sure you save some brown sugar liquid too...so you can pour it over the bicco later on...

And wala! you have bicco!

I don't use coconut milk on mine, pero my mom uses casava and coconut milk in hers. Tastes good too.

I need to learn how to make kasava cake tho...my mommy cooks killer kasava cakes...its like...to die for. hahahahaha.

Dodong, biko is always cook with coconut milk. Maybe, the one your dad made is not a biko but of different kind. It might be puto maya or something.

Speaking of cassava cake, I can bake a good one, too! Either cheese on top with caramelized sugar or nata de coco.

hahahaha really? LOL!!!!! And all this time, ive been telling my friends that the thing i cook is called 'bicco' hahahaha! Ma addicted jud na ahong amigos sa 'bicco' kai, every saturday mo lutu man ko pinoy food (this weekend, i cooked adobong baka, menudo and piniritong isda with rice of course, lol). Hadlok kaayo kai, while i was cooking, my housemates (who live downstairs in our apartment) smelled what i was cooking and came to the kitchen area and just sat on the table and asked what the 'smell was' hahaha. LOL. Ma kilig pood ko sometimes kai, when i eat filipino food, i use my fingers and my housemates also tried eating with their fingers, lol. Gi kaun jud nila tanan...all the adobo was consumed, and the menudo hahaha..the only thing they didnt like was the pinirito isda...da!

Pero ya...Filipino food is so addicting kono, says my friends Bryan and Don.

Today is a very vexing day for me. I wont deny it. Classes went alright, hanged out with my friends, did my usual work out, but i cant help but feel a sense of loss here in our beloved TB. I miss some individuals and feel bad that I couldnt have done something about it. But that goes into the point im trying to bring up, which is "don't look at the past and question 'what could have been', but look to the future and ask 'what will be'" Though we as a group have been affected lately on some issues, im sure, im definitely sure that we will rise over this.

How about you guys? How is everyone feeling today? Anything new in your lives?

I must have to say, the weekend was quite funny/watery after that lake party. The fire was burning 12 hours and alcohol was flowing enough until some of the guests rolled down earth. It was amusing and alarming seeing that one of the drunk men fall down in -10 degrees cold/muddy water. We were fishing but not lucky enough to catch some for that plan afternoon barbecue.

We are writing to express concern and hurt about a racially-discriminatory comment made in an episode of Desperate Housewives on 9/30/07. In a scene in which Susan was told by her gynecologist that she might be hitting menopause, she replied, "Can I just check those diplomas because I just want to make sure that they are not from some med school in the Philippines."

As members and allies of the Filipino American community, we are writing to inform know that this type of derogatory remark was discriminatory and hurtful, and such a comment was not necessary to maintain any humor in the show. Additionally, a statement that devalues Filipinos in healthcare is extremely unfounded, considering the overwhelming presence of Filipinos and Filipino Americans in the medical field. Filipinos are the second largest immigrant population in the United States, with many entering the U.S. (and successfully passing their U.S. licensing boards!) as doctors, nurses, and medical technicians. In fact, the Philippines produces more U.S. nurses than any other country in the world. So, to belittle the education, experience, or value of Filipino Americans in health care is extremely disrespectful and plain and simply ignorant. Many of the hospitals in major metropolitan areas of the U.S. (and the world) would not be able to operate without its Filipino and Filipino American staff members.

As Filipino Americans and allies, we band together to ensure that this type of hateful message should not be allowed to continue on our television and radio airwaves. Given the recent amounts of media attention that has been given to Michael Richards (against African Americans), Isaiah Washington (against gays), and Rosie O'Donnell (against Asian/ Chinese Americans), it is ridiculous that this type of hateful speech made it through various screenwriters, the show's producers, the show's actors, and ABC itself.

We demand a public apology to the Filipino American community, and we demand the episode be edited to remove the ignorant and racist remark. We will not allow hateful messages against our community (or any other oppressed community) to continue.

My day has been filled with warmth, happiness and love. I'm currently back home with family in New Jersey---enjoying my college Fall Break, which lasts till Wednesday. Today was great because i was able to have some quality father-and-son time with my dad, with my little brothers and my mom. Both of my parents worked today, so my sister and I took our little brothers to the Philadelphia Art Museum from 2pm till 5 pm, then we ended our day at the restaurant and just talked. My little brothers are sleeping right now, lol, and both of them sleeping in my bed (they want to sleep with kuya

) Im very happy right now, and feel content. I thank the good Lord for his blessings on us, and I hope that everyone in TB is enjoying their weekend as well.

Im not gonna tell my days this weekend, was horrible... no internet. no signal sa cellphone...

Mike got beat, too pressured because they were the champion last year and people already had in their mid to beat them...

we ended up not talking through our 11 hours drive back home...

kay ning gamble pa gyud sha which was against my will...

he didnt lost that bad though...

pero i had enought of the pressure too so I broke down in the bar...(take note in the bar!)

i was very upset and made him upset...back and forth...

at least he invited me for a pizza tonight while i was chatting with Ginger...
