Roxas schlorarship, 1 of the top ten in Nursing, graduated in Law but she did not take the Bar though my ex-Chief in PFO b4 was 100% that she will get it being her Law  Prof. as he told me (Atty Ucat from Valencia), she is Chemical Engr. license holder, she graduated BSE and at present  she is a Chief of 30 PNPs all men, she was assigned in Cotabato, long service in Bohol and Region !V, at present assigned somewhere in Leyte...she has that rank third from the highest). And she is too religious and a bit conservative but I love and respected her brillant ideas for she meant it good for me.  She is a strong POST IN THE WHOLE FAMILY. To make it short, on that time of my life crisis, she oftentimes mailed a very thick letters with "biblical long verses/ citations" for she was 100% that I had sinned, have sin committing "adultery". I had answered her in diplomatic way: "Pamisahi na lang ko diha kay dako mog gasto sa bayad sa mail" usahay abot god ug almost 1000 Pesos kay mora naman ug little package.  Pare....to tell you the truth it did takes for my Family to accept that  for then a big "tragedy" and now they are happy for me knowing that I deserved having my loving young husband. They all like and love him!  But for them...my first one remains as the original according to God's law.  I have a good friendly relationship with my Ex and his Family.  Their doors are still wide open for me anytime. And for this....I thank God for his blessings, given me this kind of life: God is good at all and even sinners are under his custodial care, isn't?

Being raised in a heavily conservative Roman Catholic environment has certainly become a hindrance for homosexual couples...  Don't you think so, too?

Human as they are, members of the LGBT community are capable of genuine love that stretches miles beyond the typical perception of the general public.  They have the same basic needs that every other human being has.  And one of these is to love and be loved in return.

But why do the religious institutions have to smite these gay and lesbian couples when they're just going about their business loving each other?  They aren't harming anyone or anything!  Why does there have to be a predefined bracket for human love?  Why do they (religious institutions) feel that they are obliged to take control over what they perceive to be wrong?  Why can't they just swallow reality?  That they don't really have a say in these things!  That these things really do happen!  And that LOVE drives it as much as heterosexual couples--or possibly even more than them!

Furthermore, why do they insist that God despises these things when in fact they are the very institution telling us that God loves unconditionally?  What an outlook!

gays and lesbians adds color to this world. i have lesbian and gay friends who are professional in any sense specially on the way they behave. i think sexual things doesn't need to be discuss since it's too private and they are entitled to be happy. in my own honest opinion, accepting them is totally within cultural bounds. some communities and groups doesn't want them while some will embrace them. all religions have gay and lesbian followers except for one, islam. as what i've heard islam despise homosexuality that's why gays and lesbians from islam dominated countries specially in the middle east fled and moved to other places where are they are accepted.
for me, it's not a problem. i've known a lot of people who are homosexual by nature. they are priests, professors, pastors, nurses, doctors, engineers, basketball players and other sports personalities. i have homosexual relatives both young and old. as long as their demeanor will surely point who they are and they don't deny it plus they are not vulgar and indicent. some gays are so indicent, lewd and immoral in the sense that they are show off in public.

Ray, I don't think same sex marriage is ever be accepted in RP or at least not in my lifetime but then again I could wrong, of course.  Even dire sa America, gina contest pa man ang pag allow sa same sex marriage in some cities.  I have gay and lesbian friends and I love them but I still believe that marriage is for a man and a woman.  Even my super gay friends think that way too.

that's sad, Bem, if our world has turned that way na they'd rather see men holding guns and killing each other than two men holding hands and loving each other.  I don't want to think that's actually what's happening na jud and I hope and pray that it will never happen.  Here especially in San Francisco, gay men holding each others' hands and displaying loving emotions are not new naman and acceptable na jud though i have to admit at first na bag-uhan ko.  But now, it doesn't bother me.  And as I said in previous posts, I have lots of gay friends, not just men but women as well.
