The idea was conceptualized by our friend, Lindy, who is based in Canada. To commemorate the first year anniversary of Tubag Bohol, the fastest-growing forum site in the Philippines today, we are planning to award a scholarship to a Bol-anon student who will take up an agriculture-related course.

The table is now open for your suggestions as to how we can raise a trust fund, go about the process of selection, and formulate simple policies.

Mike,this is a wonderful idea, thank you Lindy for bringing it up, i have been thinking about this matter when i started an auction to raise money for our TB fund. our first year anniversary project to award scholarship to a Bol anon student, who knows this person could be the future leader of Bohol or our next president of the Philippines a pride of Tubag Bohol. we will start with small projects then maybe later on if we have enough funds we can continue with our aim in helping less previleged children. this is not an impossible dream if we all join hands together we will reach our goal. so Lindy keep on bidding the part of the proceeds will go to our first Bol anon scholar student, go Lindy go!

we can ask every member if they have anything they want to get rid off ,like Gucci or louis vuitton bags or shoes of any brand or anything useful nga di na nila ganahan they can donate it to TB for auction i'm sure daghang mo bid, , thats one way of raising fund in my humble opinion.

What a brillant idea Lindy! Thank you. Am pretty sure that all Tubag Bohol members are much willing to support this plan. Whatever the majority of us want to undertake to realize this scholarship awards, I am behind then.

Any idea? Or... we must have first to elect a leader and/or President for this responsible actions and other to assist any assignment to have this idea functioned, isn't? Let's make an early move!

Your daughter is going into a good and prospering field, Ma'am Lee. Computer Science, IT industrial financing and the like is becoming very marketable in the Philippines. I pray that your daughter continues to bring happiness and pride to her mother and family. I can't even begin to imagine how proud you must be of your daughter to graduate as Valedictorian of her class. I know that the valedictorian of my high school was exceedingly smart, I was like a bag of potatoe compared to her. To be # 1 in any class is always a blessing. It defines one's character, and one's upbringing.

This is a wonderful first step and one of the (hopefully) many projects we could to to help our unfortunate fellow bol-anons especially the children. For they are the future leaders of our country so we might as well help them mold now before it's too late.
Agriculture of all courses! wow, this is a terrific idea, a perfect reply to the crisis of what Bohol is facing lately.

During my youth, my father had a collection of old coins. Out of short sightedness and irresponsibility, I sold that coins.

That can send a Boholano student to college.

One thing that I am amazed by is the proud and intelligent minds of Tubag Bohol.

lang kay para lagi sa scholarship galing og mahal pa ang mabayaran nila sa postage kay sa ilang napalit kay nagka lagyo lagyo raba tang tanan. Ambot lang kaha pod sa uban, pero uyon ko bisan unsa nga plano.

If walay pay ning volunteer, I will volunteer myself. Ay di diay, Manong Lindy volunteered me. I will submit the draft no later than Sunday evening. It can be earlier though. Basin man gud naa koy lakaw ugma.

Ang nakaapan lang kay what if wala rata kaabot sa 20 members nga mohatag, so makulang gyud ang atong money and also, mura man ug pamugos ang mga members ug ingon anion.
Whereas, ang auctions kadto ra gyung nag kinasingkasing ug join di ba. Kay dili man pod ta gusto nga mamugos sa uban.

Hello All,

Sorry karon lang ko nagjoin ani nga thread because am thinking on how to relate and participate on this project as my family for the past years have supported free tuition fees for not less than 6 to 10 students every school year sa high school sa Anda, Bohol.

Aside from this, kahuman lang sa akong scholar in BS Dentistry who successfully passed last year's Board Exam; and have another who is a graduating student in Nursing this October.

So akong gipaminaw kong kaya pa ba kay magsugod raba ko to launch a business on my passion.

As this would be a concerted efforts among TB members, for the one who initiated this project, please let me know on how I could help in my own little way.

Rest assured I will put my hands in enhanching this project when I get home this year.

Thank you to all those with benevolent hearts. Keep up the good work TBs.
