Abayed, a six-year-old herding dog, was hospitalized and treated after a bullet pierced his spine and paralyzed him about two years ago. He now walks with the assistance of a specially-made wheeled walking aid. The hind paws of Abayed are seen attached to a specially-made walking aid made by the Humane Center for Animal Welfare. Abayed can now get back to his job of herding sheep, but if you ask me he should consider retirement. He has put in his time, don’t you think?
