The clothes make the man statement has been used for decades. But it is never more true than in this century. People from all walks of life have been given audience in places and with people who they otherwise would have never gotten the opportunity had it not been for their outward appearance. This platform has been used to rise to the level of dignitaries as well as those doing an expose where they needed to get into less than desirable environments by using clothes to make themselves look down trodden or streetwise.
