This song is awesome! You know, my Auntie Beth and my Mommy Wella (my dad's youngest sister) would sing this song to my baby cousins and my baby nephew, Adrian Roy.

hahaha!  would you believe, i got my taste for ballads and easy listening from my own father.  (my, was he a good tenor while i can't even hit a proper note. )  my friends used to make fun of me over my taste, especially when i got high over violin solos that seem to float in the accompaniment, but i let them be.  my taste prevailed, hehe.

it's okay.  some songs really make us long for something we can't put our finger on, just like poetry.  (sometimes, when the banana republic reads poems to me, i end up crying, whew!)  you're lucky you have great connections with loved ones in the recesses of memory, truly.

moon river is a great song.  no wonder it outlasted the movie--- breakfast at tiffany's.  when we viewed this old movie a few years ago, the banana republic had tantrums.  he couldn't find anything good or exciting in the movie.  maybe it was great for its time and age, but i myself never understood why a silly movie can be such a hit.  i only appreciated audrey hepburn's jewelry.  ugh.
