Barangay Treasurer In Clarin, Bohol Shot Dead

A treasurer of barangay Bacani, Clarin town was shot dead by a still unidentified gunman while on her way home Friday night.

The victim, identified as one Isidra Poquita y Viodor, 52, married and barangay treasurer of Bacani, Clarin, was passing through an unlit barangay road on her way home with a daughter when the assailant shot her three times.

The victim was hit on the back, left hand and left hip and was rushed to the St. Joseph Clinic in Tubigon town where she was already declared critical.

She was later transferred to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Regional Hospital where she expired early Saturday morning.

Responding police recovered 3 caliber .38 slugs at the crime scene.
According to SPO4 Fortunato Remedio, the motive of the killing has yet to be established.
