Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a long-term disease that leads to inflammation of the joints and surrounding tissues. It can also affect other organs.

What causes this? This is autoimmune in origin. The body's intrinsic cells recognizes its own self as the enemy and starts attacking the joints and bones.

Treatment: Corticosteroids, Steroid Therapy.
