What are the Pros and Cons of Living on the Beach or Mountains?

In the mountains (because im living in the mountains, my college is located in Northwestern Pennsylvania, in the middle of the Appalachian) here are the pros and cons.
Pros: Beautiful and totally unexplainable view of the mountains, the fauna, the streams and rivers. Natural beauty is within your grasp.

Cons: Distance from the civilized world. It is too quiet in the mountains, and distance from town to town can be as long as 30-50 miles. There is a definite lack of diversity. It is difficult to find another Filipino, as most of the inhabitants of the mountain states and cities are of European descent.

In the beach.

Pros: Family, culture, civilization, beautiful view, comforts of living
Cons: Gets very hectic in summer time; hurricanes and typhoons.

Either way, I would choose the area where my family is.
Sacrifices are meant to be made, I would easily sacrifice my own comforts in order to be unified with my mother, father, brothers and my sister. Family comes first, after God.

As someone who has lived in Bukidnon (my adopted place), I can only speak for life in the 'mountains'. Pros: a) the weather--always mild, always comfortable; b) living at 2000 feet above sea-level, dili kaayo ma-igo sa bagyo, typhoons, lunop etc etc

con: ang isda sa merkado kay naa na'y ice, dili pareha kung nagpuyo ta dapit sa dagat nga ang imong pani-udto nga isda ga lukso lukso pa 5 minutes ago.

I'd like to have a home in the mountains and a beach house as well.

'te thats the way it should be. So when its winter season, when you and your family want to go somewhere warm, you can go to your beach condo

pro sa bukid - presko hangin magtanom raka sa imo kaonon or manguha
         dagat - mangisda lang nana food and lovest to swim jud!!

cons bukid - layu jud ang lingaw.. ..kuyaw land slide
        dagat - kuyaw sa bagyo - maka itom ang sea breeze..hehe
