Karyapa was the priestess who made a prophecy on the consequences of the coming of the Spaniards in Bohol. For this, she suffered under the hands of Sikatuna and Sigala.

Her prophecy is the first ever recorded poem by pre-Spanish Filipinos.

Great details on Karyapa's life can be shared by members of this select group called, KaKa (Kaliwat ni Karyapa).
