Mao ni iyang first priority maghimo ug bills sa congress or first bill nga isang-at niya sa congress..After all ang Ubay very qualified na mahimong siyudad...I hope dili pa mo retire si EBA sa politics ma realize ang Ubay mahimong siyudad...

If we compare Talibon and Ubay, Talibon is leading to become the next city of Bohol. By location, Talibon is more strategic. And in terms of income it's far advance than Ubay. Indeed, my guests who visited the towns of Bohol truly said that Talibon is like a little city by its appearance and by the the business establishments that are built in this town.

if i may also add, arki, the infrastructure in ubay is impressive. the town is one of the largest in the entire province, as well as the expansive industries there during my drive around that town. In order for a city to be established, the area has to be large so as to accomodate further growth. Ubay is perfect for the site of a 2nd city. The proximity from ubay to Leyte (Main) is not that far. Ubay's port is also one of the largest, second only to that of Tagbilaran, imho.

Let me be frank in that Talibon's mise-en-scène exuded a sense of bustling economic activity, but not in comparisons to that seen in Ubay. Ubay's size and area, its rich diversification and vast piggeries as well as rolling rice fields almost emanates the perfect meaning of a 'balanced economy'. The town has a bustling seaport, a large market place, manufacturing plants, agricultural plants, processing plants, a growing service sector, a rich hospital system and a teaming transportation system that is unique from that of Tagbilaran City per se its own version of the pedicab (only peddled).

I enjoyed both towns (Talibon and Ubay), but in my on observation, I think Ubay is larger than Talibon and is more opt to become a city than the other. Ubay is a super town, and would deign to call it a city. The population of the town is over 65,000 people. The town is equipped with its a plethora of private schools, a college, and multiple elementary and high schools.

Strategically speaking, Ubay's ascencion into a city would lead and pave the way to the growth of Northern Bohol. Thus leading to a trickle-down economic effect for the surrounding municipalities around Ubay proper.

I believe that within a decade, Ubay will be recognized as a city. Let's hope for the best.

Let me also state that Ubay is larger than the capital city of Guimaras Island Province, Jordan City. Ubay is also larger (twice the size, actually) than Romblon City, the capital of Romblon Province.
