Prevnar Is Drug of Choice For Children: Prophylaxis

Prevnar, which is a heptavalent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine that is being given to children. The goal is to prevent invasive pneumococcal infections. There are 23 isotypes used to make this immunization and are thought to be responsible for the majority of pneumococcal infections.
