You said it all. Sometimes, I wonder how a spouse survives living with a dumb person. To me intellect is very important. In my entire lifetime, I met lots of people the so called "know it all" type, and what is bad about it, they are not even aware that people around them  despised their ideas to the point of calling them idiot.

............. And defeats the mere definition of communication of which to me is very unhealthy owing to the fact that we live in a world where freedom to speak and express our opinions are guaranteed (well at least in writing).

Participants of forums, debates, discussions and all other format for interactions become less informed in some areas, and should at all times respect and if not recognized their own limintations. I learned in life that ignorance is better than pretentions.  When you are ignorant on the subject you can ask or do research, while pretenting to be knowledgeable is a crime to yourself.
