I take this short pause to remember the life of Luz Butalid Zubiri, wife of Ben Zubirir, the composer of the immortal ballad "Matud Nila".

She has crossed over to the other shore in May this year.

She, together with her two other sisters, were the ladies in the song, "Sa Lungsod sa Buenavista (may tulo ka mga dalaga)". Ben Zubiri spent time in Buenavista as a guerilla during World War II.
This smacks of a grand conspiracy to hide the non-existent, to identify the nameless, to paint a picture of the unseen. -- Benelynne

OK, I like those songs  :)

Anyway, condolences to the family

May God receive her soul joyfully.

To all members and guests:

I have an MP3 file of Matud Nila. Let me know if you're interested and I will upload it to a location in the Internet, and all can download the song from there.

Thanks GEC for this report.
