Asian American Becomes Secretary of Energy

[Lorenzo]

I was ecstatic to hear this. The plight of the Asian-American in the political spectrum has reached the Executive Spheres.

President Barack Obama nominated Steven Chu, a Chinese-American, to become the Secretary of Energy of the United States of America. Dr. Chu is also a Nobel laureate from 1997; his nomination has been approved by the United States Senate.

This is a THUNDEROUS Achievement for All Asian-Americans and for the Chinese-American Community.

I am so PROUD to be an American. It is a nation where anyone can achieve, anyone can rise up to the ranks; with hard work and determination.

Where the color of one's skin or one's gender is not a limiting agent.

God Bless the United States of America!

Pare, I pray and hope that you will make it one day.  You are young and you have the knowledge and power to show and shout "Pinoy/Amis" here I am!  So, I can also proudly say:  WOW 'yan Pare ko!
God be with you always!

[Lorenzo]

haha, I am sure there are millions of more qualified Filipinos than myself, pare.

I am just a simple student. I leave politics to the politicians.

Amen, God bless all of us.
