The Dream Match

A Layman · November 29, 2008, 12:11:48 PM

Few days away from now Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience another lump in business activities. Two prominent transport groups, PISTON and Pasang Masda are set to launch a nationwide transport strike on December 7 not because of the substantial roll back of oil prices by the big oil players of the country, but because of the upcoming fight of our national treasure Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao against another exciting and sought after boxer from Mexico in the name of Golden Boy Oscar de la Hoya. Oscar de la Hoya now residing in the US with Mexican origin is geared to redeem the boxing glory of Mexican fighters who were all executed by the Filipino boxing hero Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao. The Pacman is considered by the Mexicans a thorn in world boxing that many fans call him 'The Mexecutioner'.

The Filipinos are one with hopes for a win by our boxing hero, who will brave himself into the ring this coming December 7 (local time) despite all odds. De la Hoya is 2 to 1 in side and on-line betting in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hurray...let the Boholano boxing fans decide for that using this survey. One TB member is entitled to only one vote. So better cast your vote now and let us see how it will be to be one of the Nustradamus of Bohol.

Voting is only until 12 midnight of December 6, 2008.

Pacquiao will win over Dela Hoya by slip decision. That's my prediction.

A Layman · December 03, 2008, 09:37:57 AM

Hehehe...no count na kay slip ra man. But this fight is to redeem the glory of boxing. The previous utterances of Oscar that this will be his farewell fight were all taken back when he said lately that he wanted to fight indefinitely just to save the luster lost in boxing business. If he means business then, this first fight against Manny is a competitive one-Manny over Oscar by a split decision. You are right Bai! But we'll see the result comes December 6.

TOPAC · December 03, 2008, 09:52:44 AM

botar sas taas bay fdaray.. wa may nicast sa slip decision nimu.. hehehe

A Layman · December 03, 2008, 11:57:19 AM

Bai Cal, kon makadaog gani si Manny by split decision, maglaum ta nga aduna na sab nay rematch kay moreklamo man ni siguro si Oscar ug mangayo na sab anang rematch. Another big fight to come!

TOPAC · December 03, 2008, 12:09:21 PM

TOPAC · December 03, 2008, 12:11:35 PM

hofelina · December 03, 2008, 03:28:01 PM

A Layman · December 03, 2008, 08:19:15 PM

Moyhua · December 04, 2008, 08:41:50 AM

I watched the preview of Pacman and Oscar last night. Gikubaan ko nakakita sa ilang mga training. Murag mo patay og tawo.

Ingon si Freddie Roach, dli kono sya magpabayad ni Pacman kung mapildi sya.

Naa man di ay Parkinson disease si Fred Roach na.

A Layman · December 04, 2008, 08:44:12 AM

Bokser man pod na si Freddie Roach sa una. Diha nija nakuha ang ijang sakit.

Moyhua · December 04, 2008, 11:07:40 AM

Ayayay!

A Layman · December 04, 2008, 11:17:48 AM

that's the danger of being a boxer. Pero pag world class kana, like Manny and Oscar, to win a fight is not a big deal, it's the money!

Moyhua · December 04, 2008, 11:34:29 AM

Money and fame for Mani.

A Layman · December 04, 2008, 03:52:56 PM

There's the dice! Kining silas Manny ug si Oca di na mahadlok ug kinsa nilay mapilde kay dili man ni makaapekto sa ilang popularity. Ganahan pa gihapon ang mga boxing fanatics nga motan aw sa ilang mga away in the future. After this bout, daghan pang mga big fights nila nga gahuwat. So money is still coming for Manny and Oca.

insurectus · December 04, 2008, 10:43:46 PM

Na uwawan intawn si Chavit Singson pag introduce ni Bob Arum

A Layman · December 11, 2008, 07:16:20 AM

Pildi ko sa voting. 10 rounds ang akoa! But still, I am one of those proud Filipinos throughout the whole world who admire the heroics our National treasure Manny did in the ring against the Golden Boy of boxing. Oscar is now a has been of boxing after he lost his golden luster scraped off by our one and only Filipino boxing icon. A new boxing star is born in the Philippines!
