Mike, actually Mayor Pepito is just reclaiming his rightful position as the previously elected mayor of Batuan, not "succeeding on her second attempt" as you tagged her in your post.

Mayor Pepito in the elections of 2004 won over Brady Dano but was unseated by the COMELEC by virtue of a disqualification complaint by Mr. Dano. It was found out that Ms. Pepito did not qualify as a qualified resident of Batuan by a few days short of the legal requirements.

Actually, Gregoria Pepito is my cousin.  She won before during the election but unfortunately napahawa sya.

Yup, napahawa sya but ang ako lang gikasungtan, ngano naka-apply man sya as candidate kung dili diay sya qualified tungod sa iyang residency?  Kalain sab sa COMELEC.  Then Dano dili unta sya ang dapat mahimong Mayor kay napildi man sya that time.  Dapat unta si Verino Sumampong kay sya gud ang Vice Mayor.  I just don't get it kung ngano mao nay gibuhat sa COMELEC?
