This is a very interesting theme.  Here in Europe  the campaign is going on to have some interested persons to have this so called- ORGAN SPENDER registration.   My husband and I often talked about this.  One of my friend, she offered her dead body (in case of death) for Universities for medical studies...but I think this is another one. I think...but I am not sure, if you will be a member of the so called organ spender....if you are already in the stage- brain dead (i don't know term of this), they can take any part of your body which they needed for further applications to other patients who badly needed those.  I guess, not only one part of your body...they will ihaw you. It sounds very scary but dead is dead,isn't?

If any of my children were to need it in the future, God Forbid, I would donate one of my kidneys. And when my life passes this world either because of old age or anything---ive already agreed that I would be an organ donor.

If they need my heart, kindey, liver etc to save a life, then I am for it. What need would I have of it when I'm dead, I would already be in the company of the Lord and his Mighty Hosts.

Over here it is also a card; behind your driver's license, it indicates whether or not you're an organ donor or not. Just like in Europe. So long as you're age 18 or older and give consent to organ donation upon the moment of death, medical examiners will retrieve any usable organs.

I have it on my driver's license that I'm an organ donor. So I don't really care what organ they harvest from me, they can take everything, I don't mind. Pero ambot pila ra kaha ilang makuha, I suspect all my organs are defective.

Bulak, you should write.  From what you've written above, I can imagine how intensely you live each moment of your life.  I believe you can write about a lot of things and people would be able to relate.  And the process could be cathartic for you too.

I wish I can donate anything that can be harvested from me should I die.  I want my heart to be given to somebody too.  It would be a waste to just let my hurt rot when my heart has much love to give.  But just one question.  Is it possible that, after harvesting all organs that can still be used, I can still be kept whole from the outside? I know my Mom and Dad and the rest of my family back home would want to see me whole.
