Baclayon, Bohol - A GERMAN and his wife were brutally murdered by suspected burglars that had broken into their house in a remote village in Bohol Friday, police said.

In its report to Camp Crame, the Bohol Provincial Police Office identified the victims as Helmut Malinka and his wife, Tequia.

Malinka was reportedly stabbed and shot, while his wife was stabbed several times, said Insp. John Basalo, chief investigator of the BPPO.

Reports said two burglars armed with a hunting knife and a revolver broke into Malinka’s house in Barangay Laya in Baclayon town, about 2 a.m.

The suspects hogtied the victims’ househelp, Virginia Saluza, before killing the Malinka couple and ransacking their belongings, the report said.

Saluza was able to untie herself after the suspects left and reported the crime to the Baclayon police station.

Investigators had yet to determine the total amount of valuables that the suspects took from the Malinka residence. (Anthony Vargas)
