This Thursday, the entire US will celebrate one of the most important holidays in this country - Thanksgiving Day!  I know giving thanks should be felt everyday but this one is different.  Let's see what we think is thanksgiving and why it is celebrated here. How do you celebrate thanksgiving? Is thanksgiving all about turkey?

Ako man ang usually mag dunggab sa cake, ms. c2, kay masayang man manguli na mga guests tapos wala pa mahilabti and cake!  Wala pa ko ka decide unsang cake akong himuong thankgsgiving cake this Thursday.  I am thinking of making chocolate again kay naa pa man koy sobra na filling from last week's cake order.  Or, I can make blackberry cake but wa pa ko ka decide.  Ako sang gi una mga bar cookies and for sure I am making Pumpkin and Apple Pies.

Ako man lagi nang cake, Maring! hahahah Miss Grace Lemon cake man gud ang pangalan so that's me!  heheheh sige lang, sorry sige lang ko promise but after thanksgiving and definitely before Christmas lagi...

I looked at the link.  I will see if I can replicate that.  I think kana nlang akong buhaton for Thanksgiving siguro but undecided pa ko.

Thanks, Angie!  Bitaw ba, last month inyong Thanksgiving!  There's an old lady across the street na nagbakasyon diha sa Canada to celebrate Thanksgiving with her daughter and family.

Happy post-thanksgiving to all!  I had the longest and most tiring past-three days!  But I am not complaining because we had a very fun-filled Thanksgiving Day and beyond!  Few family members from out of town and some family friends came to join our festivities!  There were 21 of us in the party! 

As requested, here are some pictures I want to share with you:

My assignment was the dessert since Uncle Ray, Smiffytheninja's Dad prepared the dinner - the authentic Native American way!  I made the chocolate cake, pumpkin and applie pies and in that 3-tierred dessert stand, from top, torta, next the pumpkin and turkey-decorated cookies (Oh yeah, I made PINK turkey cookie!) and toasted coconut-coated marshmallows!

The Thanksgiving cake.  The decoration of sugar gum paste autumn leaves was inspired by Hazel's photo which was recreated by our artist, maring ms da binsi.
