How do you show your love for your country?

In many ways... it's in my blood. I love my country and my race. Musurok jud ako dugo inig moaana ang mga foreigner na way pulos ang mga Pinoy. Maski ayaw nila makadungong sa ato National Anthem but I teach it to the kids. Maski unsaon Pinoy ko... sa Pinas ko natao... naa koy pakabana sa ako isig kaingon.

and we have reason enough to stay.  on the other hand, migrating or working abroad would not make us less filipino.  we can love our country even from pluto. 

representing our country well by being upright and dignified wherever we are is what is love.  besides, hehehe, given the chance, and if that chance means a much bigger pay and better learning exposure as a career move, well, why shouldn't we work somewhere else and spend most of the money we earn in our country?  how else can we call the big help overseas workers give in propping up the country's economy, if not love?

By proudly talking to everybody abroad that I came from very beautiful country. Kasagaran raba jud sa mga tawo diri even my husband relatives,friends,kaila kay ilang pagtuo sa pilipinas perting pobreha. Mangutana ug naa ba daw tay running water,unsa konoy klase sa atong sinina,cave or naa ba daw ta sa tree nagpuyo heheheh. Mao magsegi jud ko dala dala ug photo album usahay video akong ipakita tagsa tagsa nila ug ma shock sila kay mas nindot pa ang balay nato sa ilaha diri. Moingon intawon wow very fancy. Sukad pud ang mga silingan namo nakakita sa pictures daghan sa facebook bahin sa Philippines nausob ilang tinan awan nako ma feel jud nako nga wa silay masulti  maot bahin sa atua karon moingon na sila wow you live in paradise. Samot sila ka bilib kay moingon ko kasagaran balay sa amoa na karon made of concrete wall and steel ang kahoy ra kay ang door. Sa ilang mind mas mahal pa kaayo atong pinoy anan kay sa ilaha. Medyo nalain jud ko katong ing ingon sila nako ug sa hut or tree ba daw ta nagpuyo sa pilipinas. Or sa manila ba daw ko nagdako akong bana intawon mo ingon she live down south sa small island but very nice province.

I am very proud of my racial origin, though by now of course I am American by paper. I have 2 countries to protect and support. There are so many bad and good things about the PH, but, as a race it is imperative to stand firm amidst adversaries and critics. Here in the US, I need to excel in my job, I need to be smart and maybe smarter than my contemporaries. Even if I have all the rights afforded to American citizen, I am always referred to as “Girl from the Philippines.”  I want them to see how talented and educated Filipinos are, that we are professional people. I need to showcase our culture and heritage: compassion, caring and loving. In my current world, I represent the Philippines, I need to show the image of our country, I speak the beautiful things we have.

The US is my home and my country now. I abide the laws, pay my obligations and defend her when necessary.
